Walker Photos and Attack of the Monster

No one ever told me that when your child starts walking that taking a good photo becomes impossible. At this point I would settle for a bad photo will all the body parts in it. Everytime I try to take one he starts walking for the camera and I get the quality photo you see below with no head. But to be honest who cares...Will is offically a walker. I am sure others would have said he was walking long before now but I wanted him to really be walking before we counted it. (Our baby book is official). And for that reason I wanted to take a photo of his new sandles he got today. But all well. (Notice the sticker on his shirt...someone poo pooed in the potty...AGAIN)

As you can see in the video Will is growing everyday! He is becoming so much fun. He is talking all the time and in his recent physical therapy evaluation he was given credit for 22 words...I think he has learn even more since then. His new one today is Yellow, which he says perfectly clear! We are so lucky to have such a wonderful little boy!

Garage Sales, and Potties

As you can see it has been another eventful weekend! I found some great small blocks and a basketball goal at a garage sale this weekend. I am pretty sure that Mark likes the goal more than Will.

Will is still enjoying his potty chair. On Saturday before we went to Touch a Truck he when potty again! This time only tinkles worth 1 M&M but still...it was in the potty! I feel we are moving in the right direction. But then again Will some times chooses his own direction.

I thought I would just add some picks of Will playing, he is just so funny and changing every day! Enjoy!!

More potties, garage sales and frisbee golf

For all those doubters out there...and I know you are out there...Will used his potty chair again this morning. This time I was prepared with the M&M's and stickers. So today he got 2 M&M's, which he has never had, he loved them and a smiley face sticker! Mark even got out of bed to sing praises and help flush. It was a great way to start our morning!

After the potty it was off to garage sales in Newcastle. There were tons of sales but all we found was this mailbox. Will LOVES mailboxes and I have never seen this one. I thought it was a steal for $3.

Mark and his office went frisbee golfing this afternoon and Will and I joined them for the back nine. I honestly thought it was going to be rather silly but it was really fun. There were tons of people out there, some even brought their dogs. We are going to go again and take the wagon and Cy.

Everyone please have a safe and blessed weekend!

Will and his Potty

Most of you know I have introduced Will to the potty chair. I bought him this super cute Red Baby Bjorn Chair. Will has been sitting on his chair for about a week now, reading books, singing songs, it has been great fun. Well after all that sitting today...he Poo Poo in the potty chair! I hope that isn't to much information but I figure if you are reading this blog you can handle it! We were just so excited. I really feel like we are taking steps in the right direction! Go Will!!!

Will and Mommy's Trip to Texas

Will and I took a trip to Texas this weekend to see MooMa, Grandpa and Aunt Sam. Cyrus joined us on our trip. The trip was a blast and the waether was even better. Cyrus had a great time too, just jumped in Grandpa's pond in the back yard...not funny! While we were home we cooked out and even went to the park. Will also had his first snowcone...he loved it! We wish that Borger wasn't so far away so we could go more often!

Medieval Fair time

If you didn't know Norman is the town of festivals and fairs, now yopu do. There is the Chocolate Festival, May Fair, Jazz in June and the Medieval Fair. Today the Hyde Fair ventured out to the fair. Imagine, 400 vendors, 4000 people and a beautiful afternoon. We took Will out in the wagon, again the best purchase ever made, and he had a great time. Lots of folks bring their dogs and with so many people there, there is always something to look at. We walked around for 2.5 hours and didn't even see everything. If you have never been to the fair we would highly recommend it.

Welcome to the Norman Farmers Market

Today was the grand opening of the Norman Farmers Market. Will and I joined Merideth and Hudson early this morning to see what we could find. We were all amazed at the quality and quantity of the food, plants and gifts. Will helped me pick out some tomatoes, potatoes and green beans. Merideth found some sweet potatoes and green onions. The selection was wonderful and everyone was so friendly. The market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8-12. I hope to make a trip tot he market a weekly tradition.

Stormy Walk

Mark decided to take Will for a walk this evening. Today hit about 80 degrees so with the storm rolling in there was a nice breeze. Will has really taken a liking to his sunglasses, which I find so cute, and the way he holds on to the sides of the wagon is so sweet.

Yes I know Will is a boy.

So here is the story. Will REFUSES to walk. He knows how to walk. I have seen him do it. He walked for his physical therapist NUMEROUS times at his last appointment. But that is where it all stops. So in hopes of helping him gather some confidence (and not crawl to college) I purchased a pair of walking wings.

I wanted a pair of walking wings from the beginning. But they run about $30 a pair and I didn't know if he would like them so I wouldn't buy them. I was happy to find them at the local JBF Sale for $6; at that price if he hated them I wasn't out much. The only problem with the walking wings was, as you can see, they are BRIGHT pink. After much consideration and my mother in law telling me this wouldn't scar him for life, I purchased them.

He loves those silly things. Mark and I have tried to get him to walk holding our hands but he wasn't into it, but with these he stayed outside walking for about 20 minutes and for someone that small, that is a long time. So needless to say I wish I would have bought them a long time ago. I am sure some babies don't need them but Will is enjoying ever minute of his walking wings heaven! Enjoy the photos and video. (I know the video is sideways but I can't seem to fix it. Sorry)

Will's new tent and sunglasses

Well the tent and the sunglasses are not new. The glasses are Mark's and I thought this picture was too cute not to post and the tent mom and I found at a garage sale last summer. It has a big cube and 4 smaller cubes that attach to the larger cube and a tunnel. In the photo is only one of the smaller cubes. When we had it out front it was huge. It will be tons of fun this summer.
