Why Dad's don't stay home

Some days I wonder what would happen if Mark stayed home all day.  There would be lots of laughter and tons of playing.  Lots of cape wearing, jumping of ottomans and of course some hair gel fun.

See Cooper loves hair gel or anything that looks like hair gel.  He has been known to put diaper cream in his hair.  On this particular day he found the hair gel and with a little help with the lid from brother he was fixing his hair in no time.  Dad found him and decided it would be more fun to assist him in styling his hair, I let him know I wouldn't be incharge of bath.  Cooper loved it and man is that some fancy hair.

How happy is this guy?

A hard day on the job.

Will loves spending time with Mark and his favorite thing to do it going into buildings.  Good thing Mark shows building all day.  This particular day Mark had a showing after picking up Will from school, at the printing press.  Will has learned a little about printing so it was nice for him to see the real thing.  He loves big trucks, little tucks, fork lifts, basically anything with power. Thanks Dad for a fun day at work!

Picnic

We spent our Sunday night at the park with new friends.  We had a great cookout, playtime, volleyball and sno cones.  The weather this May has been fantastic, we try to get out and enjoy it whenever we can.  It was a great time of friends, family, fellowship and faith.

Will loves the maze, he might have to try a corm maze this Fall.

When does help stop being help and become more work?

Will is a huge helper around the house.  He helps with Coopers all the time but his favorite thing to do is help with the yard.  He has been want to mow since he could walk.  We have 3 play mowers at our house but nothing compares to the real one.  On this particular day Mark was letting Will help him push the mower, after many "Can I do it by myself? Mark finally said yes.  Obviously turning the mower can be hard when you are 5.

He was totally right, he can mow! He just doesn't know how to go in a straight line.
He was so very proud!  He came in and told me, Mom, Dad is so proud of me!

On another backyard note,
Last year when we added some concrete to the back I asked if I could stamp the boys hands.  Oh what a fun memory to have and to look back on.

Happy Brithday Aunt Sam

We love you Aunt Sam!  I wish I was posting a picture of you and the boys here but I am not.  Mark is on his computer watching Thunder Basketball and all the pics are there or on DVDs in the safe.  (Love you but I'm not digging in the safe).

So in honor of your birthday I thought I would post some pictures that make me think of you.  Enjoy!

My dear sister you will never live down your Barney days!  You were, let's just be honest. obessed with him.  Remember the birthday you got the stuffed Barney and Baby Bop?  Oh I do.

You have to remember this!  That Christmas you washed my hair in your beauty shop a million times, and since I was 12 it was totally not cool, but I did it anyway.

I had to throw in a picture of your namesake.  I LOVE this movie and when the boys started calling you Mammy it was just perfect.  Cooper can really say it now.

Do I really even need to say anything?

I know this is what you tell everyone your favorite movie is but I know it's really...

This birthday post would not be complete without a picture of Pink and Blue Baby!  Let me tell you, you get some pretty weird stuff when you google that, none of which are the actual Pink and Blue Baby.  Who made those anyway?  Searching for a doll manufactured in 91' was hard.  Wish you could see now, they would totally say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
So Sis, from the whole Hyde clan, Happy Birthday!  We love you, miss you and are very proud of you.  Until next time...

Oh Watch out NOW!  I know this isn't your exact baby but come on you know she is totally close!  I couldn't give up without finding her!  Happy Birthday from Pink Baby.
PS She is made by Playskool.  Love you!

Snack bags

Check out these cute snack and sandwich bags I found on Etsy, love Etsy.  They are just adoreable and came shipped so sweetly. They are machine washable and have gotten lots of use.  They close with velrco which is actually a little hard to open.  We have another set with zipper closure and I like them so much more.  The snack bags get way more use than the sandwich size.  I need to get another set for Cooper, I might need a girly set for myself.  It would be nice to see some pink around here.
